Our year in numbers

Brechin City Hall Users Group (BCHUG) held their Annual General Meeting last night in the Hall.

Thanks to everyone who attended.

It’s been another incredibly busy year for the City Hall and much has been achieved.  During the AGM last night we took time to reflect as a group on just some of what’s been achieved in a 12 month period.

In the Lesser Hall we now have a new bar unit along with coolers behind the bar. The stair has a new floor covering and new lights are now fitted on the stairway. New tables have also been purchased and in addition to this, we’ve had numerous donations from the public, local clubs and organisations throughout the year. These donations have been invaluable, Thank you.

BCHUG also took time to recognise the hard work and dedication of not only the Trustees and Management Committee but also the volunteers who muck in on a regular basis to ensure the Hall is spick and span. They include Isabel, Laura Ferguson, Joan, Morag and Rita.

2017/18 has been a fantastic year for Brechin City Hall. Here’s just a summary of our year in numbers:

232 bookings

10,000 people through the shiny front door

280 hours spent cleaning the hall

Looking forward, we’ve started 2018/19 with a bang. In April we were awarded charity status by OSCR. In addition to this, we’ve invested in a new canopy that can be fitted, if requested, for a function.

We’ve also had our front door painted and fitted with a shiny new handle and letterbox which we hope everyone has noticed?!

It’s been hard work over the past 12 months but there’s a huge amount of pride in us all when we see how well we’re maintaining and improving what is a beautiful Victorian Music Hall style theatre – Brechin City Hall.
