Brechin City Hall Users\u2019 Group, affectionately known as BCHug, are working to maintain and improve the facilities available at the hall so it can be enjoyed by everyone for many years to come.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Meet Our Team of Trustees<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Gordon Smith<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Treasurer \/ Bookings<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Treasurer and Bookings Manager: The other half of our Technical support
team, initially a financial accountant, Gordon changed career to become general manager of
the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen then latterly lighting and stage technician at Dundee\u2019s The
Space. He is also an amateur musical director with Opus Theatre Club and Trustee with
Combined Productions. Now retired, he uses all these skills for the benefit of the hall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


Special interests: Music, music and more music!!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Liz Smith<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Wellbeing (Hall)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wellbeing Manager: Wife to Gordon, and in charge of cleaning, and volunteers,
her background is also in musical theatre, as an amateur choreographer with various
societies down the years but now solely with Opus Theatre Club. As secretary to Combined
Productions and with the odd bit of copy writing for BCHug she is able to exercise her skills
as a retired magazine journalist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


Special interests: Reading, sewing, gardening and finding the time for them!!!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Jim Milne<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Chairperson<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Peem)Chairperson: Now retired, he was an engineer with GlaxoSmithKline
and is also BCHug\u2019s buildings manager. He and his wife Meg are trustees with the youth
drop-in centre, The Attic and proud grandparents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


Special interests: Model railways and demolition!!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Kay Robertson<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Secretary<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Secretary: A newly qualified primary school teacher, Kay also takes
responsibility for our bar staff and stock, the Makers Market and Socials. She is a member of
BAOS and Opus, both local amateur music societies and wardrobe mistress for Combined
Productions the local panto group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


Special interests: Musical theatre, Harry Potter and her adopted sheep!!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Med<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Vice Chairperson \/ Maintenance<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of BCHugs two technical support team, 
Med's training in IT, health & safety and Stage Management
is invaluable to the running of the hall. His main role is in
maintenance and he can be often found singing on the roof. 
He is also one of the coaches of Brechin Judo Club and has 
been part of many community projects over the years.
