Philomena Begley is widely known as the Queen of Irish Country is a name that needs very little introduction and is synonymous throughout Ireland and beyond , she has been at the forefront of Irish Country Music now for 60 years and during this time she has had a glittering career that has seen her achieve countless accolades and scoring dozens of No.1 hit songs that include “The Blanket on the Ground”,”Truck Driving Woman” and “The Queen of the Silver Dollar” to name but a few along with being a regular guest on all major TV and radio shows.
Philomena has performed on stages all over the world to legions of fans and appeared with Porter Wagoner on the Grand Old Opry in Nashville. One of Begley’s biggest fans is Irish superstar Daniel O’Donnell, and he once said, “When Philomena sings a song you believe her you feel that she’s experienced every emotion she expresses”. The film follows the stories of two Scottish soldiers, Davy and Ally, who on their return to their hometown of Leith from a tour of duty in Afghanistan have to re-learn how to live life out of the war-zone.
Both struggle to learn to live a life outside the army and to deal with the everyday struggles of family, jobs and relationships.

Miss Lindsay’s Secret is a true story of love, legacy, landscape and secret letters concealed in the Glenesk Folk Museum, in Angus.
This moving and lively show takes audiences from the Angus hills to Canada’s Klondike Goldrush, during the turbulent years of the early 20th century, in the company of The Curator, The Musician and The Man. It explores The Curator’s dilemma in finding, revealing and becoming too involved in this intimate tale of a Scottish seamstress.
The show transcends time and place, using original live music and historical material to conjure an onstage alchemy in which the hidden story of separated lovers becomes a quietly powerful allegory of global forces continuing to shape our lives and identity. It binds the past to the present, Scotland to the world, and in this time of invaded privacy, questions the morality of reading such private mail and turning it into a play.
