Well known Brechiner takes the helm at Brechin City Hall Users Group

Brechin City Hall Users Group, affectionately known as BCHUG, has appointed a new Chairperson. Well known Brechiner Ron Stewart, takes on the role at the group.

Ron comments; “Like many Brechiners our City Hall is a building that is very close to my heart. I joined the Management Committee last year and I’m now delighted to take on the role of Chairperson. It’s a challenging role but I’m very lucky to be supported by a significant number of Charity Trustees and members of the Management Committee.

So much has been achieved since the hall was taken over by the community. We’ve also seen usage increase significantly which is fantastic news for the hall and for Brechin in general.

We’ve big plans for the hall and we look forward to sharing them with Brechiners in the near future.”

Ron Stewart takes over the Chairperson role from Kenny Christie. Due to work commitments Kenny and Vice Chair Graham Donald recently resigned from their positions. BCHUG would like to thank both Kenny and Graham for their commitment and support over the past 2 years.

The new Vice Chair for BCHUG is Paula Middleton. Paula is another local Brechiner. She joined the Management Committee 2 years ago and supports with all marketing and PR activities.

In addition to this BCHUG has a number of other Charity Trustees as well as a Management Committee. Both comprise of a small band of dedicated people who simply support us by keeping the hall clean and tidy. As you can imagine she’s a big old lady to clean!

If you have a spare couple of hours and you think you could help us, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us a line to find out more on mail@brechincityhall.org
