BCHUG is awarded Charity Status

BCHUG (Brechin City Hall Users Group) is absolutely thrilled to announce that we’ve been awarded charity status.

OSCR, Scotland’s Charity Register confirmed the status earlier this month.

Ron Stewart, Chairman of BCHUG comments; “This is fantastic news for the BCHUG team of volunteers. Being a registered charity will open up other potential funding streams to the group moving forward and that can only be a positive step.

I’m sure our fellow Brechiners will have noticed that the hard work to maintain and improve the overall appearance of the City Hall continues. We’ve had lots of positive comments about the general cleanliness and well-being of the hall. That’s always pleasing to hear that the hard work and commitment undertaken by a very limited number of volunteers is appreciated.”

Bookings continue to steadily increase with the Hall now being used for a wide and varied number of activities. BCHUG will be sharing more information on the number of events and fooffall through the door in the coming weeks so stay tuned!
